In both casesyou will get a signifiacnt benefit. In the first case you will get some money, in the second case you will have your advertisement placed on the website or in the ezine of the person you have exchanged with, whcih will promote yoursite and your ebook to many more.
Also, making an ebook is useful tool for collecting items together, for example articles you have published in yournewsletter.
Then, human being who at the time of original publication had not been subscribed to your newsletter will have opportunity to read your articles in one handy fomrat. To sell or not to sell When you make your eobok you have to decide whether to sell it or to give it away free. When I made my ebook, Idecided not to sell it. Everyone who wants to, can download my ebook for free. Although, I don't get any money for my ebook, there is other benefits. For example if you give out your ebook for free many more human being will be able to read it.
If they guess that they have found quality info there, it is most liekly that they will subscribe toyour newsletters. Also, they can recommend your eobok to their friends.
It will give you free advertising. When you make your ebook you can place it on your web site for download.
I wouldn't recommend you to put a link on your web site so that just eevryone can download it.
The better solution is to put a form where you will ask your vsiitors some info in exchange.
Less is better.
For exmaple you can ask them to tell you their name and e-mail address.
Then you will know how many human being have downloaded your ebook and collecting their e-mail addresses is really important so that you can stay in touch with them to offerthem updates, etc.
